  • 2013 Domaine de la Pépière Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Clisson - France, Loire Valley, Pays Nantais, Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine (9/5/2023)
This will never be the 2012 or 2014, but it's drinking very well now, even if there's some expected bottle variation ten years post-vintage. A bit rounder than ideal for Muscadet, it still maintains the oyster shell minerality and salinity. The fruit is lemons, but with a touch of a creamy edge. My prior bottle two weeks ago was further advanced (but not so far advanced as to be unenjoyable), so I would advocate drinking up in the near term.

I really love Clisson (and should buy more), but can't remember the '13. Sounds like a good one to drink at 10!

Yes, it was good, though based on my other bottle maybe age 7 or 8 would have been better.
