More keeblefurt from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. The DaliaMaris is made by Giampaolo Venica, of the family that makes Venica&Venica Friuli wines. This is a separate project from the V&V wines. He makes an even higher-end wine called "B" (for Buttrio). The Piccolo is a wine from lots he doesn't think qualify for the B wine.
He is inspired for this wine w/ his visits to Jean-Louis Chave in Hermitage. The wines is made from lots frmtd/aged in separate lots and then blended to make the wine w/ the complexity he desires. I can see in it an Hermitage inspiration, but one made from the indigeneous Friulian grapes.

2. The Chignin is a white wine made from the local Jacquere grape by Gilles Berlioz from his Dom.Partage right on the Swiss/Valle d'Aosta border. He farms biodynamic & could be regarded as a natural winemaker, though doesn't advertise himself as one. This is the first Dom.Partage wine I've tried & I was impressed.
