1982 Chateau Cantemerle

Only my second 1982, the other being terrible , this was fabulous with most ((95 %) tannins resolved and a real pleasure to drink. Lots of smokey tobacco and light sweet/sour cherry, Color was a pale light red but no browning. Bought recently for 80 bucks and worth every penny. Too bad I was drinking mostly German Riesling back then. I bought a 1982 Chateau Gloria the same day for same price but will save for a special meal latter this year.

Good score on that wine for that price, sounds lovely.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

We had the 82 Cantemerle at a big Cantemerle/La Lagune tasting in my backyard 6-8 years ago, lovely mature claret with no sign of fading (elegant next to the more burly 82 Lagune).
82 Gloria was my epiphany wine 32 (?) years ago, will be interested in your take.
