WTN: Austrian Riesling/Calif PinotNoir....(short/boring)

Tried these two last night:
1. Weingut Frischengruber Riesling DAC: Wachau Federspiel (12.5%; www.Frischengruber.At; SchatziImprts/Milan/NY) Frischengruber/Rubersdorf/Austria 2021: Light gold color w/ some mesmerizing/swirling tiny bubbles; quite lovely pure R/mango/pineapple/floral light chalky/flinty/steely/mineral very perfumed/aromatic nose; slightly spritzy/dissolved CO2 slightly off-dry (0.1%-0.3% r.s.) strong floral/R/mango/pineapple/apple blossom light steely/metallic/stony/flinty/mineral bit spicy quite brisk/wirey attractive flavor; long floral/R finish that mirrors the flavor; quite a lovely/brisk/tangy fairly rich/perfumed R that speaks of Wachau & very reasonably priced. $28.00 (KK)

2. SeaSun PinotNoir Calif (14.7%; 87% MontereyCnty/13% SanBenitoCnty; www.SeaSunVineyards.com) SeaSunVnyd/Fairfield 2021: Med.dark color; rather attractive PN/cherry/black cherry slight earthy/herbal light pencilly/oak fairly classic CentralCoast PN nose; lightly tart strong cherry/black cherry/PN slight herbal/earthy some pencilly/oak bit metallic/tangy rather pretty flavor w/ light smooth tannins; very long strong cherry/PN/black cherry finish that mimics flavor; a nice/pretty lightweight PN veering towards the bland. $15.00 (KK)

More cavertorb from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. SeaSun: I was attracted to this Pinot by the low price. It was a fairly pretty CentralCoast Pinot but just not particularly distinctive and had a bit of an industrial character to it. The Fairfield address was a bit of a puzzle. Turns out this is a CharlieWagner/Caymus wine made at their SuisunVlly operation. That explains a lot.

If you can taste 0.1 - 0.3 RS then hat's off to you. Most humans can't do that, especially 0.1 - 0.2.

Well, David... that's just a guess. It certainly didn't taste 0.5%, which is the threshold for tasting r.s. In wine. But certainly the texture & richness on the palate suggested there was probably some unfermented sugar in there. But it certainly didn't taste totally dry/trocken. Maybe the acidity was lower than I thought, which suggested some r.s.
Besides... haven't you heard the term super-human??
