We tasted these two Wed at Pig+Fig:
1. JaimeeMotleyWines Mondeuse "Argillet" SantaMariaVlly (12.3%; JaimeeMotleyWines.com) Sebastapol 2017: Med.dark w/ some bricking; some plummy/Mondeuse/licorice bit earthy/loamy light pencilly/oak fairly fragrant classic Mondeuse nose; bit soft some earthy/dusty bit rough/rustic rather plummy/Mondeuse bit Savoie-like/rustic flavor w/ modest rough tannins; very long finish that mimics flavor; somewhat Savoie-like but not the earthy/loamy character those often show; not of the stature of the Lagier-Meredith; speaks strongly of Mondeuse w/ a Savoie accent but not of SBCnty; a pleasant/interesting rendition of Mondeuse. $40.00 (BG)

More kibbelsprit from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. The Nero d'Avola comes I believe from the John Chiarito vnyd in Ukiah. Also maybe some from the Benson Vnyd.
I liked both of these reds by & large. Both on the rustic side. Would like a bit more high-toned fruit in them. Neither of them measured up to the Idlewild or Ryme level of quality.
