  • 2019 Stereophonic Wines Malbec Where the Corn Don’t Grow - USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (8/1/2023)
    The label may resemble Jotunheim, or a frozen Asgard, but the wine is all about ripe fruit with spice, and an earthy undercurrent. Rich but balanced, it never comes across as hot. Dangerously easy to drink.

California malbecs are usually the other version of 'dangerous'.

I don't buy many, but this and the Lagier Meredith are both very drinkable.
