1. Rodaro Friulano Dd'OP: Friuli Colli Orientali (13.5%; www.RodaroPaolo.It; BotiqueWineCollection/Philadelphia) Rodano Paolo/Cividale del Friuli/Italy 2020: Pale gold color; fairly strong floral/carnations/Friulano/grapey some earthy/chalky bit dandelions quite fragrant nose; rather tart/tangy/slight metallic strong floral/carnations/grapey/dandelions light earthy/chalky/stony some tangy/metallic bit simple pleasant Friulano flavor; long fairly strong grapey/Friulano/carnationslight stony/chalky finish; a quite pleasant expression of Friulano but just that; a bit on the simple side. $25.00 (SFW&S)

Rodaro Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso Dd'OP: Friuli Colli Orientali (14%) 2019: Very dark color; very strong licorice/Refosco/black cherry/DrPepper/RCCola some earthy/dusty/OV light smokey/oak slight herbal/pungent classic Refosk nose; lightly tart/tangy bit metallic/bitey strong plummy/licorice/DrPepper/black cherry/Refosk some earthy/dusty/OV bit coarse flavor w/ modest chewey tannins; very long plummy/Refosk some earthy/loamy finish w/ modest bitey tannins; a pleasant enough Refosk but nothing special & not very distinctive. $25.00 (SFW&S)
