Took this gem to Pig+Fig last night for Susan to have a white:
1. ArbeGarbe RRV WW (14%; 55% MalavasiaBianco from Catie'sCornerVnyd/30% RibollaGialla from Tanya'sVnyd/15% TocaiFriuliano from PaganiRanch) St.helena 2017: Med.gold color; lovely very fragrant/perfumed light mineral/stony bit chalky/saline some complex lovely nose; lightly tart bit saline lovely fragrant Malvasia bit muscatty light chalky/mineral some floral/Malvasia bit complex flavor; very long/lingering floral/Malvasia slight mineral finish that mimics favor; less in your face Malvasia & more like a mineral very good Friuli Malvasia d'Istriani.

More girdlestrap from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. This is the wnry of EnricoBertoz & LetiziaPauletto that specializes in Friuli style wines. Both hail from Friuli. Been a longtime friend of them when they first attended SteveMatthiasson's RibollaFest. Med.gold color; lovely fragrant/perfumed light mineral/stony bit chalky/saline beautiful nose; lightly tart bit saline lovely fragrant Malvasia/bit muscatty light chalky/mineral bit floral/Malvasai some complex lovely flavor; very long/lingering fairly rich/lush finish that mimics flavor; less in-your-face Malvasia floral & the chalky Ribolla gives it somewhat of a character of a very good Friuli Malvasia d'Istriana. Should go out another 4-8 yrs.
Susan was a happy camper.
