The first bottle that I opened was corked.

Intense brick-red color. Complex, classic pinot noir aromas that you can get lost in tell you right away that this is a Cote d'Or grand cru. Intense flavors follow the aroma. Tannins are fully resolved. The acidity is not--it sticks out a bit, especially in the finish. The wine goes perfectly with food, but on its own it's just a tad rough because of the acidity. I don't know if I caught the wine in a grumpy stage that will resolve itself or if the wine is starting to dry out. I suspect the latter. Double Curly Moe.
