WTN: A stunning TerraVOX Wetumka Dessert Wine '21...(short/b

Tried this last night at Pig+Fig TerraVOX tasting:
1. TerraVox Wetumka Report Dessert Wine (18%-20%; 81 cs) 2021: Deep golden color; light botrytis/peachy/apricotty very ripe/passito quite orangey/honeyed/honeycomb quite complex some Sauternes-like beautiful nose; very tart/tangy quite sweet (8%-10% intense peachy/apricotty/some botrytis very ripe/passito/nutmeg/very spicy slight earthy/herbal very rich/lush complex beautiful flavor; very long/lingering very sweet passito/botrytis/peachy/apricotty/honeyed/orangey/honeycomb slight earthy/herbal quite sweet complex finish that goes on&on; does not show the alcohol at all; no hybridy character at all; some like a Sauternes, more like an Italian passito; should go on another 5-10 yrs; by far the best dessert wine I've ever had from a MidWest state; an absolutely stunning dessert wine at a very fair price. $42/500 ml

More voxiespilt from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Wetumka is a Thomas V.Munson cross of Elvira x Herbemont x Gold Coin, developed in 1893. Not a variety that rolls off the tongue very easily. I was not expecting much from this wine...it's a Wetumka after all. My guess is; given the high r.s. level, that brandy was added to stop the fermentation. But I was blown away by this dessert wine. It reminded me, more than anything, to some of the Friuli LateHrvst Picolits I've had over the yrs. See no reason it won't age well.
