WTN: Corison Rosé

2021 Corison Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé Corazón - USA, California, Napa Valley (5/16/2023)
Seeing the words Cabernet Sauvignon on the label trigger expectations of a heavy, serious Rosé, but this has good refreshment value, while also possessing a more structured mouthfeel. Ultimately it’s all about red fruit and florals, with a finishing dash of peach skin, so classic Rosé, even if executed in a minor key rather with a major key fanfare. As a fan of more serious, vinous Rosé wines, I like this very much.

I love, absolutely love, cabernet roses. I understand exactly what your'e talking about--and sometimes that dusty element typical of some cabernets makes it into the wine which I love even more. So rare to find them, though, at retail.

I bought this direct. It was paired with the Corison Cabernet Franc which I adore.

I love Cab Franc rose, haven't had many CS I liked. But certainly would buy this if I saw just based on producer. Thanks!
