Interesting evening downtown last night with a well-attended Austrain tasting featuring 8 wines from Weingut Gruber Roschitz.
2021 St. Laurent Rosé. Very nice wine with a firmish grip on the finish. Rhubarb, watermelon, morello cherry..off dry. Noted "great finish", some spice. Best wine of the first 4 poured. Flew off the shelf.
Whilst here, I should also mention this Moschofilero from Greece.. the Lantides 2022 Little Ark Rosé from the Peloponnese appellation. Never a big fan of Little Ark wines but this pinkie sure hit the high notes last week. Rose petals aroma, citrus, strawberries and red cherry. Good body, soft creamy mouthfeel on entry, balanced acidity. Went well with lamb chops in a tomato sauce.
