Casting about for a white last night, I cracked:
1. EdmundsStJohn Heart Of Gold ElDoradoCnty WW (55% Vermentino/45% GrenacheBlanc; 12.0%) Fairplay 2019: Med.light gold color; beautiful very fragrant Verm/floral/carnations/gardenias some honeysuckle/GB light stony/mineral/earthy/chalky some complex very perfumed nose; bit soft very rich/lush intense floral/carnations/Verm/honeyuckle/GB light earthy/chalky/mineral balanced bit spicy very perfumed flavor; very long/lingering quite rich/lush/balanced very strong floral/Verm/carnations/honeysuckle/GB light stony/mineral beautiful finish that goes one & on; a really lovely expression of Verm & GB; thee rich/lush character belies the anemic 12%; drinking beautifully now & should go another 3-6 yr; not yet showing any of the nutty/oxidative character of a mature Rhone Blanc; a beautiful white Rhone.

1. I hate wines like this. The wine was so friggin' good drinking and I kept going back, again & again, "Damn that's good"!! that almost 2/3'rd of the bottle was gone when I finished cooking & sat down to eat. Damn Steve Edmunds!!
An it was, of course, accompained by the ole EdmundsStJohn lament..."I shoulda bought more". Think this was my last btl. Ohhhh...well.
