2011 Force Majeure Cabernet Sauvignon Collaboration Series Force Majeure Vineyard Red Mountain
Not a fan of ripe high alcohol fruit bombs, so I avoid the wines of Chris Gorman but somehow ended up with this ripe high alcohol (15.3) fruit bomb that totally obliterates all sensory connections with its splendid Red Mountain origins. Force Majeur is made these days by the talented Todd Alexander. But in the early days several winemakers made various lots. The other winemakers I love for their Bordeauxish inclinations but Gorman, no. I didn't realize that I had a Gorman until I found myself wondering where that vodka flavor was coming from. Had to dilute with water to make it palatable.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Got an offering for a 2022 Bordeaux future (Clos de Sarpe) where the review talked about how well it managed its 15.1% alcohol. I laughed as I hit delete.
