Did anyone else jump on the Le Clos Jordanne bandwagon? (Ontario residents)

Le Clos Jordanne is a new joint venture between Canada's Vincor and the French house of Boisset. Producing only Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the winery released its first (I believe) bottlings today in Ontario, to much patriotic chest-thumping and hoopla.

While I still have a bit of a problem paying $60 for an Ontario wine, I did pick up a couple of bottles of $25 Pinot Noir 2004 Village Reserve. My wife plans on BBQ-ing a couple of salmon fillets tonight to see what all the fuss is about.

So, did any other Ontarians (or Quebecers who happen to live close to the border) pick up any?

Bruce, it's both timely and uncanny that I should read your post, as I just came back from a visit to Vintages this afternoon. It was stock-up time, and so, of course, I went to stock up. What did I buy? A Hungarian Cab Franc, a Dopff & Irion Gewürztraminer, a Saumur-Champigny, a Clos Malverne basket-pressed Pinotage and a Riebeek Chardonnay from Swartland.

Nope - didn't bite on the Le Clos Jordanne. I shouldn't judge the wine before trying it - I'm positive that it is well made and all, but I do get uneasy feelings of Chateau Cache-Fleau going on here. I don't think I'll be getting any, despite my usual curiosity.

I will have to wait a bit longer to see what all the fuss is about. My wife just went to bed with a migrane, so we will have the salmon and Pinot Sunday night.
