Tried this w/ Susan & Garrett on Sat night BBQ dinner:
1. EmbudoVllyVnyds Jubilee White NM (13.5%; 55% R/25% VidalBlanc/20% Chard; www.embudovalleyvineyards.com/) Embudo/NM 2021: Med.light gold color; rather stony/mineral/bit earthy lightly floral/R/pineapple slight herbal/VB very pleasant/attractive nose; quite tart/tangy rather mineral/chalky/stony lightly floral/R/mango/pineapple rather old-world style quite interesting flavor; med.long lightly R/floral/mango slight herbal/VB fairly tart/tangy fairly stony/mineral quite interesting finish; an attractive mineral-driven R that reminds some of the Sudtirol R, some of the recent CanaryIsland whites; a very interesting high-altitude white w/ a light herbal character from the VB; very fairly priced at $21.50 (KK)

More riquebittle from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. This is a wnry run by JoshJohnson, who is related to Johnson brother who founded nearby LaChirapadaWnry, one of the first modern wineries in NM. The vnyd is nestled right along the banks of the RioGrande i9n Embudo NM, just South of Taos.
I realized I'd never tried any of his wines, so picked this up at Kokoman to try. I was rather impressed w/ the minerality it showed & not a lot of R/floral character, more on a subtle level.
Although I believe Josh does buy some grapes from Paolo in Deming, my guess is this wine is made from entirely high-altitude grapes from Northern NM.
