That's too bad. I don't buy much CA merlot, but I always thought this was a very nice bottling in late 80s, '91 etc. This sounds like they threw out all notions of balance.

The '95 I had with my mom last month was lovely. This seems to have fallen victim to the "how do we recreate 1997" disease.
