2001 Beringer Vineyards Merlot Bancroft Ranch - USA, California, Napa Valley, Howell Mountain (4/19/2023)
Oh my gosh! It’s 22 years old and still a blueberry milkshake. Horrifying and mystifying at the same time!

That's too bad. I don't buy much CA merlot, but I always thought this was a very nice bottling in late 80s, '91 etc. This sounds like they threw out all notions of balance.

The '95 I had with my mom last month was lovely. This seems to have fallen victim to the "how do we recreate 1997" disease.
