(with sous vide pork chops, sweet potatoes, and Swiss Chard)
2010 Nigl Privat Pellingen Riesling
Dry peach, grapefruit, stony minerality and a little incipient petrol. Long, wet rock finish. Young. B+/A-
2017 Chevillon Bourgogne Passetoutgrain
Unsure of percentage but this is very Gamayish. Bright acids, red plum and sour cherry, very floral, a little peppery. With some air it gets a bit of a potted plant/geranium note that I get more in Loire Gamay than Beaujolais. Fun little snappy wine. B/B+.
(with a quick bouillabaisse served with farro and salad)
2021 Pomponette Rose (Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence)
Lighter styled, strawberry and a little watermelon with minty herb notes, not a lot there but nice backdrop to the stew. B
Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
