WTN: Chalone Again, Naturally

2014 Enfield Wine Co. Pinot Noir Antle - USA, California, Central Coast, Chalone (4/5/2023)
Wow, wow, wow, this is so interesting right now. It still has some California sunshine fruit, but it has developed a savory tone that adds a significant dose of complexity. There’s still a serious hit of tannin, but the fruit is there to back it up. The finish picks up a touch of cinnamon, reminding me of some aged Pinot Noir wines from a place I will not name. Still have two more bottles in the cellar, and really looking forward to them.

That title is so good it hurts.

Thank you. My parents had that album. It might still be downstairs.
