More stickelstuck from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Given my experience w/ the A-R wines, where lots of fruit is regarded as a negative, this wine was pretty much what I expected. Falanghina is not a particularly interesting variety on its own merits. This, combined w/ the A-R style of winemaking, makes for a rather austere/saline/eviscerated kind of wine. With the creamy pasta to cut thru the richness, the wine was merely OK. But to taste on its own....not a whole lot of pleasure. And it didn't show a whole lot of evolution. Probably going to go nowhere.
