NV Paul Berthelot Champagne Premier Cru Extra Brut Champagne Blend
Actually 2016 vintage though made/marketed as NV. Medium gold color and crisp, refreshing with hints of white grapefruit. Good value.

2013 L. Aubry Fils Champagne Ivoire et Ebene Champagne Blend
Definitely in another league from the wine above. Still terrific at 10 years from vintage. So sorry I only bought six, not 12, when I had the chance to restock two years ago. Probably couldn't find or afford it now.

I don’t see the 2013 Aubry around, but the 2012 and 2014 are available. Still not a particularly expensive wine at all. Aubry is overall great value.

Prices on most Aubrys have doubled in the past year, some more. Or so my champagne expert friend Warren T says.

Nope. Maybe he’s looking in the wrong places.

Interesting. He was encouraging us and another couple to buy up what JJ Buckley had left of a particular Aubry based on what I just said, (that most have doubled and some even trippled).
