1. Forlorn-Hope Amerikanischen Kobold Riesling KickOnRanch/LosAlamos (10.21; 167 cs) MatthewRorick/Fairfield 2013: Med.gold color; beautiful petrol/Mosel valve oil strong floral/R/mango/bit pineapple slight chalky/mineral rather complex fairly Alsatian nose; quite tart/tangy/bit acidic brisk/bracing/electric some Mosel valve oil/petrol some R/floral/mango light chalky/mineral quite complex rather Sudtirol-like flavor; very long/lingering quite tart/tangy/lean/somewhat acidic very brisk/electric some R/mango rather Mosel valve oil/petrol bit mineral/earthy/metallic fairly complex finish; a bit on the lean side & almost screechy on the palate but beautiful aromatics & complexity; much like a good SudTirol R.

More rizzerfelt from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. This wine, on release, was pretty screechy/acidic on the palate. But, though still acidic, it has developed into a really inteesting/stunning expression of Calif R. The Ojai R from KickOnRanch also develop into really beautiful Reislings.
