2021 Adega on 45th Riesling Okanagan Valley
I am just about the last person to get on the Riesling bandwagon, but I'd have been there earlier if I'd had rieslings like this. With superb fruit, typicity, acidity and balance, this wine was the scene stealer at a dinner party last night, with a sweet moment on entry that turned elegant on the midpalate and dry on the finish. Just outstanding.

2015 Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery Gravel Bed Red Sonoma Valley Red Bordeaux Blend
With bright bing cherry fruit and tons of minerality, this wine lives up to its name and has arrived in the peak drinking window. Very happy to have a few more bottles.

2018 Acorn Zinfandel Heritage Vines Alegría Vineyards Russian River Valley
70% Zinfandel and 30% nineteen other grape varieties including Alicante Bouschet, Petite Sirah, Carignane, Trousseau, Sangiovese, Petit Bouschet, Negrette, Plavac Mali, Syrah, Tannat, Muscat Noir, Peloursin, Cinsaut, Béclan, Grenache, Graciano, Palomino, and Monbadon. This stunning, layered wine is earthy, zingy and almost ridiculously complex. The finish just goes on and on. Outstanding.

2017 L'Ecole No. 41 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley
Fruit and other features hidden behind a wall of oak. I don't perceive this winery to be that heavy-handed but on a dinner table with wines of better balance, it was almost indigestible.

2017 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Rouge Pinot Noir
Light in color and body. Restrained cherry/strawberry/rhubarb fruit, good minerality. Didn't hate it but I expected a little more. Needs food.

Initial assumption was Adega on 45th was referring to parallel, but then realized BC. Sounds good in any case.
I love Sancerre, but Sancerre rouge has never sung for me (for me PN there is better used for rose)

Dale, I don't have wide experience with Sancerre pinots; I've maybe had 4 or 5 in my entire life. I bought this one when an opportunity arrived direct on the heels of having a great experience with a white Vacheron and not long after a friend opened an excellent aged rouge from, I think, Lucien Crochet from a warm vintage, an '09 IIRC. Hence "I expected more"--2+2 did not equal 4 in this case!
