For The Yuppie Wine Fan that has Everything

https://www.bevage.com/products/pro

Basically a fancied up decanter with some added toys - a funnel and screen, a base with an agitator and control, a USB charging cable etc.

Except for the agitator, it is what we all likely use but with a fine strainer to try and take out the spent yeast deposit instead of what we usually use a flashlight or other light source, maybe a carafe and a funnel and screen (which doesn't remove the fine yeast deposit. And you get to pay $230 for it.

Won't be on my Christmas list but I could see them selling a bunch to new yuppie wine fans that like gimmicks. And you can sit there are watch it stir itself...

Dumb. And aren't there two things here at odds? Generally, a wine you'd want to agitate would be a young wine, where a wine you need to strain/filter is usually further along in life. Of course, their target customer doesn't know the difference, but still.

Yes, probably designed by someone unclear on the concept.

Particularly dumb when they charge enough to buy a high end Riedel crystal decanter

The majority will probably end up as Xmas gifts from clueless doting moms. Fortunately, the price is high enough that it's unlikely to snag newbies spending their own money.

Currently sold out, when I click the link, so I guess they're doing something right!

But this is the kind of marketplace madness that drives some of us crazy. Complete with the ridiculous umlaut in the company name, to give some vague 'European' flair!
