Found this in my cellar yesterday while searching for a gamay to take to a friend's house for a baked ham and scalloped potato dinner. It's not in my inventory: or rather, CT says I had 3 but consumed them all. Obviously I still had one and I think there are more. Either way, a happy happy circumstance:
2010 Jean-Marc Burgaud Morgon Côte du Py Reserve Gamay
This is why we cellar wine. Garnet colored, it's now silky and bright with layers of fungal flavors and considerable spice. A perfect PnP: ready, at peak and a perfect partner for the ham. WOTN for me and impressive to the group who mostly drink new world wine and have little concept of Beaujolais beyond Nouveau.
