No wine Tuesday with miso-coconut salmon curry

With salt and pepper pork chops
2013 Thivin Reverdon Brouilly
Red fruits, tree bark, juicy acids, very fun but a little cigar ash on finish says time to go. B

Curry chicken tonkatsu with quick pickled cabbage, rice, Japanese pickle, and roast broccoli
2009 AJ Adam Hofberg Kabinett
Fairly sweet, but nervy acids, peach and tropical profile. B+/B

2015 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett halbtrocken
Tart, taut, tense, crisp green apple with flint. Great value,.B/B+

Dry aged ribeye, baked potato, sauteed spinach, salad
2002 d’Aiguilhe
I put this away (unfortunately more than 1) to see if oak integrated, this is an extracted dense wine with little charm. C+

2004 Giovanni Rosso “Serralunga” Barolo (375)
Seemingly fully mature in half, red cherry over tar and rose petals, good last minute replacement for the poor Bdx. B

Over to some friends for a goodbye party for a friend moving to Lisbon
I was in charge of appetizers
Watermelon radish/hummus/smoked mussel canapes
Chorizo bites in sherry and honey
Salt cod fritters

NV Lahaye Blanc de Blancs
Snappy, dry, and crisp, long- quite fun. B+/B

NV Francois Baur Cremant d’Alsace
Rounder, high dosage, clean B-

Fondue, with ham, cornichons, quinoa salad
2021 Boniface Les Rocailles Apremont
Light, red delicious apple with cantaloupe, good contrast to the fondue. B-/B

2020 Cave de l'Ormarine Grande Reserve de Gassac
Round, fleshy, needs some spine. C+

Oysters, scallops with citrus and capers, hubbard squash, Chinese broccoli with chile crisp
2019 Fichet Bourgogne Blanc Cote d’Or
Clean, fresh, good verve. B/B+

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.

I've got one of those l'Ormarines in the queue; thanks for the warning!
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
