WTN: Ramey Rochioli Chardonnay, 2nd try

2019 Ramey Chardonnay Rochioli Vineyard Russian River Valley
Pale yellow. None of the reduction or crystals that plagued our last bottle of this. Also, virtually none of the things I just read about in other CT reviews: it's not "powerful" or "tropical", there are no apricots and it's not overtly "ripe". It's full of mellow white and yellow fruits and the texture is elegant and creamy. I loved it.

But interesting to have a bottle that's reductive and one not, from the same case. Hasn't happened to me before in sets of same bottles--either they're all that way, or they're not. And of course the army of crystals in that other bottle, even in the first pour!, was something I haven't seen before either (could that have been the last one bottled from a barrel?
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

That’s exactly what I am wondering.
