The maker warns that this Pet-Nat might be volatile so 'open over a sink'. Well, I'll add wear goggles and headgear because I barely got near the crown closure with a bottle opener and BOOM. I got soaked. The remaining wine was, well, interesting. Bob liked it better than I did: crunchy red fruits and fairly bitter tannins which took some getting used to. Without the texture of the bubbles I don't think I'd have liked it at all.

I had a pet-nat cider like that a couple of years ago. Had to change clothes!

It sprayed my face, my chest, and dripped down on my hair and glasses from the light fixture above me. I not only had to change clothes, I had to take a shower.
