No wine Monday with “San Francisco Vietnamese-American” noodles with shrimp and mentaiko.

Meatloaf, baked potato, salad, and the 2002 Jadot Beaune-Avaux 1er .
I don’t think I’ve ever had an Avaux wine before (though on maps it isn’t a small vineyard). This was actually quite nice- red and black cherries, beets, a touch of smoke and cocoa. Medium to bodied, vibrant acids, nice balance. Drinking quite well. B+/A-

Kare chicken & rice , kale salad with feta, and the 2021 Richter Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett. Bright, snappy, citrus and green apple, good herby finish.B+

Unagi, kabayaki, Hmart marinated ribeye, Shanghai tips, soba noodles
2005 Chermette/Vissoux “Poncie”Fleurie
At first I thought this past it, the nose was a bit stewed, and it seemed volatile. But actually air helped a lot, leaving an earthy but well-fruited wine, black cherry and coffee, good length. B/B+

Roast chicken, potatoes, and spinach
2010 Drouhin Cote de Beaune
Holding on well, good for the level, black plum and cherry, mint, soil tones. Not complex but quite drinkable.

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.

Interesting Chermette! I've had a number of them over the years and I don't think any of them ever struck me, good as they were, as having that kind of aging potential.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
