2020 Kirkland Signature Gigondas Red Rhone Blend
Heard good things about this from Owen Bargreen, decided to try. Well, you know how when you PnP a young wine you expect it to get better in the glass? Didn't happen here. First couple sips were impressive but instead of the crunchy red fruit gaining structure and complexity things went the other way, and it got jammier and more cloying as time went on. The last sip was the worst--I immediately reached for my water glass to wash away the aftertaste. The $ for three of these will buy you one Guigal--buy the Guigal.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
