More wriselfirk from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. This was a pretty impressive release of Zins from Bedrock. The Dolinsek was clearly not up to the other 4 Zins but still a pretty tasty/sound/delicious Zin.
The Ode to Joel Zin is a selection of the best barrels of the '21 vintage. It was slightly my favorite of the '21's. But the MonteRosso '15 was an easy favorite for its greater complexity & evolution. Because the MR Zins are the most expensive, I tend to buy only one & drink it near release. This was one of the first I've had that has much age on it & I was quite impressed. The MR Zins tend to be pretty structured & hard in their youth, but clearly they have the stuffing to age well.
