WTN: Tramin Sauvignon 2005

Sudtirol Alto Adige.

Gooseberry, grapefruit, pine resin and peppery on the nose.

Decent acidity, but surprisingly (for me) rather round and fleshy, gooseberry, grapefruit, lemon, pine resin.

A delicious, somewhat restrained, example of a Sauvignon Blanc.

Bruce, was this a Vintages or regular list item? I have never tried SB from there and it sounds most appealing, what with the peppery flavours that are so common in Austrian wines for example. Also, was it dry?

Thanks.

It was Vintages Paul. Yes, it was dry, but, as I indicated, not as dry as I had been expecting.
