Susan & I tried these two LaSpinetta whites this weekend:
1. LaSpinetta Timorasso Dd'OC: Colli Tortonesi Derthono (13%; GiulianoImprts/Boulder; www.la-spinetta.com/en/) LaSpinetta/Castagnole Lanze 2020: Med.gold color; strong very perfumed Timo/floral/carnations light chalky/mineral/perfumed talc some spicy/cardamon beautiful fragrant nose; fairly tart/tangy bit metallic slight herbal strong Timo/floral/carnations slight mineral/stony fairly rich lovely Timo flavor; very long tart/tangy mstrong floral/Timo/carnations light mineral/perfumed talc bit complex finish; a bit blocky on the palate & not as high-toned as some Derthona Timos but quite a nice expression of Timo. $27.50 (KK)

2. LaSpinetta Vermentino IGT: Toscano Bianco (13%) Casanova dell Spinetta/Terricciola 2021: Med.gold color w/ lots of tiny bubbles clinging to the glass; very attractive fragrant strong Verm/floral/carnations slight chalky bit spicy quite lovely classic Verm nose; quite tart/tangy fairly rich strong Verm/floral/carnations light chalky/metallic lovely flavor; very long tart/tangy fairly rich strong floral/Verm/carnations/stony finish; a quite attractive straigtforward Verm & one of the bette ones I've had from Tuscany because of its aromatics; some like the Ryme Hers Verm but not quite as rich & lush & a bit more rustic. $24.00 (KK)

More spinoroba from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Giorgio Rivetti (not owner/not winemaker/but farmer he likes to advertise himself as) was here this weekend to do a presentation of his LaSpinetta Piemonte & Tuscan wines. He also owns the Contratto wnry that makes sparkling wines & distillates. Pretty much across the board I like the LaSpinetta wines and they are pretty reasonably priced. These two whites were both good values.
