2012 Dönnhoff Estate Riesling - Germany, Nahe (11/2/2022)
Unscrew and pour! This is the Estate Riesling, the artist formerly known as QbA. I have been buying and drinking this since the 1996 vintage, and it’s always held up as a fantastic value that can age very gracefully for a long time. There was a period in the early 2000s and into the 2010 decade where it was maybe a touch sweeter that I might want, but a few years in the cellar always cured that. Ten years on this is still bright, fresh, and fruity, yet it has the slightest patina, and has toned down to a Feinherb/Halbtrocken level, which makes it both a delicious aperitif, and an amiable dining companion. Given the ample fruit and fine balance I believe it will be delicious for ten or more years, so no hurry if you are holding some.

Sounds great.I've had several of the '15 lately.
I bought a mixed lot of 2004 Donnhoff (mostly Hermannshohle Spat) in 2018, included a couple of bottles of QbA, they drank fine at 15 years old
