SonomaMagazine: Interest in New Varieties

by TomHill » Tue Nov 01, 2022 2:04 pm

Interesting article by SarahDoyle in the SonomaMagazine:
(https://www.sonomamag.com/these-rare-va ... -a-moment/)
on the interest in SonomaCnty by winemakers in new varieties. As usual, the subject is tied (incorrectly IMHO) to climate change.
A lot of the usual suspects (SamBilbro/Idlewild, Ryan&Magan Glaab/Ryme) plus a few wineries/vnyds I'd not heard of before.
Of course, that same exploration is going on outside SonomaCnty as well, but the focus here is just in SonomaCnty.
Anyway, a rather interesting read.
