WTN: Trimbach Riesling 390ème Anniversaire

by David M. Bueker » Mon Oct 24, 2022 7:30 pm

2016 Trimbach Riesling 390ème Anniversaire - France, Alsace (10/24/2022)
Pop and pour, so it took a good hour to open up. When it did there was not only a classic Riesling aromatic and flavor profile, but also a foundation, carved of stone, anchored in the bones of the earth. The profile of the fruit was classic Trimbach, with a bit more flesh brought on by the inevitability warmer vintages. The star was the stone. It lingered on the finish, a monument to the rock.

I liked this, though global warming shows. I did find it peculiar they decided to do a 390th ,but not to make it a CFE.

From a Zoom call I was on with Jean Trimbach last year, it's not just from the normal CFE vineyard sources.
