More isterwringer from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Patelin Rouge: I was quite taken to how well this Rhone blend has evolved. It reminded me quite a lot of those early Eberle/EstrellaRiver Syrahs, the first Syrah to indicate the potential the grape had in Calif, after they had a few yrs under their belt.
______________
2. Another outstanding release from TCV. The EnGoblet is always one of my favorite TCV wines. The Goblet is a block in the TC vnyd that is trained by the Goblet system as used in CdP. Also called, as best I can tell, head-trained in Calif. It and the Tannat are typically two of the bigger reds they make at TCV and usually my favorites; yet they are not overripe/jammy and show the typical restraint you usually find in TCV reds.
Of this tableau, the Esprit Rouge and the Tannat were my slight favorites.

Always bums me out to read TC notes, as they do not ship to Connecticut, and their distribution stinks.

Well the TC direct ship issue is their decision.

As for distribution - I live in a state controlled by 1 main distributor. Everybody else is a bit player who has to bend to their will.
