We tried last night at Pig+Fig, some New Whites from TablasCreek:
1. TablasCreek Patelin de Tablas Blanc PasoRobles (12.5%; 54% GrenacheBlanc/29% Viognier/9% Marsanne/
7% Roussanne/1% Bourboulenc; 38% DerbyVnyd/28% Frahlich/11% PomarJunction/8% Castoro/8% CrestonRidge/
7% TablasCreek; 2900 cs) 2021
: Med.gold color; very fragrant/perfumed floral/GB/honeyed/honeysuckle very slight chalky quite aromatic nose; bit soft slight tangy/metallic quite floral/honeysuckle/GB/honeyed/gardenias very perfumed big GB fruit flavor; very long very perfumed/aromatic strong GB/floral/gardenias/honeysuckle finish; loads of floral GB fruit for drinking over the short term; terrific price at

TablasCreek GrenacheBlanc AdelaidaDist/PasoRobles (13.0%; 750 cs) 2021: Med.gold color; very strong very aromatic GB/floral/gardenias/honeysuckle slight chalky very youthful fragrant/perfumed classic GB nose; some tart very rich/lush very strong GB/honeysuckle/floral/gardenias slight chalky some spicy beautiful flavor; very long/lingering lightly tart very strong GB/floral/honeysuckle/gardenias slight chalky/mineral big fruit finish; a lovely fairly intense expression of GB at a very fair price. $35.00/$28.00 (VIN)

: Med.gold color; more subtle/elegant fairlt floral/honeysuckle/Rouss light pencilly/oak much more complex very fragrant beautiful nose; quite tart/tangy rich/structured slight mineral/chalky very strong Rouss/floral/honeysuckle rather complex flavor; very long/lingering structured/tart/tangy very strong Rouss/floral/honeysuckle/gardenias/honeyed slight chalky/mineral rather complex finish; a classic EdT Blanc that needs age; should be a great one w/ age. $50.00/$40.00 (VIN)

1. I've occasionally got the petrol character to a low degree in aged GB before. But this was the strongest petrol character I've yet seen in aged GB. A beautiful evolution of this wine.
The Esprit de Tablas Blanc is one of the most ageable white Rhones around. Usually, they are a bit underwhelming upon release. This '20 was one of the more precocious ones I can recall.
