So last night with Chinese food we enjoyed a 2021 rose blend from Slovenia. The single label shows artwork of a space craft landing in a vineyard. To the right of that, in tiny print, it says Grape Abduction Company, and further to the right it has the typical back label information about winery name (Gonc Vinarstvo) and importer (the suspiciously named JP Bourgeois, Ashville NC) and abv of 12.0%. The grapes involved aren't named, but it says simply Rose Blend there yet! in the far left hand side of the label tiny vertical print informs that this is Rose Blend Awesome Mix Vol. 2.
CTers have been unable to tell what from what so have created 50 or so entries under five winery names, none of which are what I would created, and none of which are my Awesome Mix Vol. 2 though one can't blame anyone for missing that detail.
So I dunno what to call it, but it's good albeit more food wine than sipper. High acidity, low fruit, and very dry. The wine coaxed a bit more open during the meal, but as is it suited our food quite well. At $17 for a 1L bottle; I'd buy again.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
