WTN: no inside to the bottle

2021 North Coast Viognier, Cline Cellars

Very pale color. Very fragrant but refined and complex floral aroma, mainly peony to my nose. Very delightful flavors that echo the aromas, plus a mixture of citrus fruits. Long citrusy finish. This isn't a profound wine like Condrieu, but it captures the viognier grape very well and is an absolute delight to drink. A great way to treat one's self and one's guests on a hot summer day. I doubt it has any ageing potential but when you have a wine this delightful, who cares? Triple Larry.

Yup, Paul....that Cline Viognier is consistently a good wine, especially for the $$'s. The grapes are cold-climate, from their Estate in the Carneros and over the ridge in PetalumaGap.

Always leery about California Viognier. Might have to find this one just for fun.

It won't set you back much. I got it for $12/bottle at the local Whole Paycheck.
