1997 Porto, Taylor, Fladgate and Yeatman
I have a bunch of this, it's 25 years past the vintage, so I decided to open one and see how it's coming along. It's thrown a ton of sediment but it's still an intense, opaque purple. The tannins are integrated, but to my palate it's still too early and needs at least five years to learn more manners. If you like your vintage Port in a young, ruby-type style, start considering this wine (I'd still hold off), but give it plenty of time in the decanter for the aromas to open up.
