Fruitier than prior bottles, the pipe tobacco element has backed off enough to let the fresh red berry fruit take center stage, while the tobacco elements support. This is a better balance, though I have to admit I loved the blast of pipe tobacco when this was young. Good supporting acid structure, with a bit of tannin. No worries about leaving this one in the cellar a bit longer. It has plenty of fruit to support it for a while.
