More likkerfrazz from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Massican: This was DanPetrowski's first white that he made in Friuli. Most (young) Friulanos can be a bit on the simple/fruity side, but this one is developing some beautiful nuanced character.

2. Where the heck is Etna CA. It's way the hell & gone in the CoastRange Mtns of Northern CA, NW of Redding and about 30 mi South of the OR border. Don't think the got many neighbors.
This is a wnry started by Chad and Michelle Westbrook Hinds in Berkeley afore they moved to the Mt.Shasta/Cascades way up there. Mostly they are buying their grapes in Northern Calif, but they have a vnyd in the ground up there, farmed by Fukuoka methods. They proclaim themselves as natural winemakers. This is my first exposure to the iruai wines. I'll probably try them again but not get my hopes up.
