Tried these two wines the other night:
1. hive & Honey GWT MontereyCnty/EstateVnyds (11.5%; www.HiveAndHoneyWines.com) Greenfield 2020: Light gold color; some lychee/GWT/lightly spicy some low-key/subtle pleasant enough nose; soft slight metallic off-dry (4%-8% r.s.?) light lychee/GWT/lightly grapey rather flat/dull/vapid flavor; short soft lightly GWT/lychee off-dry/sweet pretty bland/dull finish; a pretty enough GWT nose but pretty dull/vapid on the palate & too sweet for weenies & kraut. $8.00 (SMP)

CanBlau RedBlend Dd'O: Montsant (14.5%; 40% Mazuelo/40% Syrah/20% GarnachaNegra) Gil Family Estates/Denver; Cllrs CanBlau/ElMolar/Espana 2019: Med.dark color; very strong blackberry/boysenberry/Syrah some Am.oak/toasty slight earthy some dusty/OV big fruit very attractive nose; some tart/tangy very strong blackberry/boysenberry/spicy/Syrah some vanilla/Am.oak some dusty/OV slight earthy/mineral bit complex flavor w/ ample chewey tannins; very long/lingering intense blackberry/boysenberry/Syrah/ripe some Am.oak/vanilla rather structured finish w/ ample tannins; a big fruit Syrah that reminds some of a Priorat Syrah; needs 3-7 yrs; very attractive price at $14.00 (PrimaIlC)
