2016 Marchesi Mazzei Chianti Classico Fonterutoli - Italy, Tuscany, Chianti, Chianti Classico DOCG (8/3/2022)Been a year since I last tried this, and it has smoothed out a bit, but it’s still young, fresh Sangiovese. My gosh I love what this grape does in Tuscany. Bright acidity, crisp red fruit, finishing structure for around $20-$25. Such an easy choice.

Last 1/3 tonight. Little bit sterner. I rarely find that fruit expands over 24 hours. Still quite good though, so probably worth a reload if I can find more.
