Pop and pour. Very dark. Lovely nose, lots of sweet red and black berries, just a touch of forest floor, and a nice mix of spices; both savoury and sweet. After all the high alcohol Beaujolais lately, nice to have one at a comparatively tame 13% alcohol. Soft and dry. Cleansing acid backbone. Respectable length. An easy drink that's pretty good right now; worked well enough with a Reuben sandwich for dinner.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
