Had these three wines for DinDin Last night:
1. Darby "le deuce" ColumbiaVlly WW (52% Viog/48% Rouss; 14.4%) Woodenville 2012: Med.gold color; very strong honeyed/honeysuckle some pear/Viog/floral light earthy/stony bit pencilly/oak lovely fragrant nose; bit soft very rich/lush quite honeyed/honeysuckle/Rouss light pear/Viog some spicy/nutmeg light earthy/stoney bit complex flavor; very long/lingering strong honeyed/honeysuckle/Rouss slight pear/Viog light earthy/stony bit complex finish; quite a nice white Rhone blend probably as good as its going to get.

3. Darby PurpleHaze ColumbiaVlly RW (14.6%; CabSauv/Merlot/CabFranc/PetiteVerdot/Syrah; www.DarbyWinery.com) Woodenville 2015: Very dark color w/ slight bricking; strong plummy/WashState Cab/blackcurranty slight herbal fairly toasty/oak nose; rather soft/bit porky rich/lush strongplummy/blackcurranty/Cab/slight herbal bit fat/porky/soupy strong toasty/oak flavor w/ light ripe tannins; long soft/fat/soupy strong blackcurranty/Cab/plummy strong toasty/oak finish w/ modest soft/ripe tannins; speaks strongly of plummy WashState Cab; nothing profound & lacks structure & a bit on the soupy side but good/easy drinking at a very good price. $20.00

More firdlecarp from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. The Turley WhiteCoat is so named to honor LarryTurley's previous profession as an emergency room physician. It has consistently been one of my favorite white Rhone blends, though it can sometimes veer towards the fat/porky side. The early versions were pretty oaky but they have backed off on the oak in recent renditions.
