2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (6/12/2022)
Perfect cork, and perfect bottle. Right on the plateau of maturity, and no sign of decline coming for at least another 10 years, likely more. It started with a whiff of pineapple, and developed more Mosel-typical aromatics as it was open. It still stayed to the riper end of the spectrum, and eventually settled on ripe peach with a slight drizzle of honey. Still full sweet, but we’ll balanced by the acidity, we finished the bottle much too quickly. Should have bought magnums.

Sounds wonderful, and worth the 20-year wiat! How are other 2001 Mosels showing these days?
