- 2019 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Nahe (6/9/2022)
Popped and poured, and the three of us drained it in thirty minutes. It’s a big Spätlese, and full sweet, such that it feels more like a brisk Auslese, but so delicious. Citrus tinged with mango and pomegranate, that rides along a wave of acidity that stays bright, but always in balance. I suspect that this will be a wine that gains a lot from extended cellaring, but it’s so scrumptious right now I may not be able to resist temptation.
