WTN: Can I get a Remilly

by David M. Bueker » Mon Jun 06, 2022 7:12 pm

  • 2019 Domaine Bohrmann Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly Blanc - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Saint-Aubin 1er Cru (6/6/2022)
Popped and poured, and at first it was a touch warm (65 ish) which accentuated the oak, and made it a little fleshy. Cooled down to cellar temp, and things came into focus. The oak moderated, the fruit emerged, and it achieved balance. No it’s not for someone looking for very low/zero oak, but I like how the spice and fruit play together, and there plenty of material to see what happens down the road a piece.

*bonus points if you got the Black Crowes reference

Interesting. Never even seen producer before Some of my go to St Aubin producers have gotten expensive. Was this pricey?

In the Berserker Day pack it was not, but I see the standard bottle price is $59, which is more than I want to pay. I can get a Ramey RRV for much less, and this competes in the same arena in terms of style/weight.
